Job Title: Associate Attorney – First Party Property Defense

Job Overview: A prominent law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in First Party Property Defense. Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel and communication to clients on litigation risks, legal rights, and obligations.
• Develop strategic arguments and evaluate case findings for presentation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft motions, responses, and analyses pertinent to First Party Property Defense.
• Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and trials as required.
• Handle discovery processes, including preparing and responding to discovery from opposing parties.
• Interact with clients to resolve issues and provide ongoing case updates.
• Manage cases from inception through conclusion, ensuring effective case movement.
• Actively participate in client development and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Ensure compliance with minimum billable hours and receivables.
• Perform other related legal duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.
• At least 3+ years of experience in First Party Property Defense.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to attend court appearances regularly and manage depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases efficiently while meeting client demands.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing is required.
