A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Intellectual Property Transactions group in a dynamic city. This position focuses on advising clients on intricate transactions where intellectual property, data, and brand value are pivotal, particularly within the technology, consumer products, and media sectors.

Duties

• Advise clients on transactions involving intellectual property, technology, and brand assets.
• Support and lead deals including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, and strategic collaborations.
• Draft and negotiate agreements such as IP licenses, software and cloud services agreements, and trademark-related documents.
• Provide counsel on intellectual property issues, including AI usage, digital transformation, and e-commerce initiatives.
• Advise on commercialization strategies and risk assessment related to IP rights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex business and legal matters.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in intellectual property transactions or technology licensing.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and licensing agreements.
• Background in technology, software, data, or brand-related transactions preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or equivalent.

Certifications

• Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
