Associate Attorney needed for Savannah office

Job Overview: A law firm in Savannah, GA, seeks an Associate Attorney with 0-2 years of defense civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Duties:

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior attorneys.
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Respond to time-limited conditional demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of defense civil litigation experience.
• Georgia Bar Admission.
• Judicial clerkship for a state or superior judge after law school is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Must meet expectations for billing goals.
• Prior experience responding to time-limited conditional demands and experience with legal billing are highly preferred.
