Location:

• Chicago, Illinois

Duties:

• Represent clients in general liability matters, including personal injury and property damage claims

• Manage all phases of litigation from case inception through trial or settlement

• Draft and argue motions, attend court hearings, and conduct depositions

• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel

• Comply with client-specific billing guidelines and reporting requirements

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case progress

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Illinois insurance defense litigation

• Understanding of billing procedures and client compliance guidelines

• Ability to handle a 1950-hour annual billable target

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and litigation skills

• Effective time management and organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Illinois

• Licensure in Indiana or Wisconsin is a plus

Skills:

• Litigation and trial preparation expertise

• Proficient in legal research and writing

• Familiarity with electronic case management and billing systems

• Clear and professional communication, both written and oral
