Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Uniondale, NY, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented litigation associate with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in product liability and asbestos matters. The ideal candidate will contribute meaningfully to a busy litigation practice by handling depositions, court appearances, and case management across jurisdictions.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of product liability and asbestos litigation matters

• Conduct and defend depositions, including expert and fact witnesses

• Appear in court for conferences, motions, and hearings

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Perform legal research and provide strategic recommendations

• Collaborate with partners, colleagues, and support staff to advance case strategies

• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

• Maintain accurate case records and documentation

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience with a strong focus on asbestos and product liability cases

• Demonstrated courtroom and deposition experience

• Proven ability to handle cases independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills

• Effective verbal and written communication abilities

• Professional demeanor and sound legal judgment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is considered an asset

Skills:

• Legal research and drafting

• Deposition preparation and execution

• Strategic litigation planning

• Client communication and relationship management

• Multi-jurisdictional litigation experience is advantageous
