This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including handling enforcement actions (penalties, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)/U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigations, prior disclosures, audits, seizures), strategic customs planning (tariff mitigation strategies, free trade agreements, etc.), and customs litigation. As a Senior International (Customs and Import Trade) Associate Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the intricate landscape of customs and import trade law. Your responsibilities will include managing enforcement matters, strategic planning to mitigate tariffs and leverage free trade agreements, and expertly navigating customs litigation. In particular, experience with the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) and Withhold Release Order (WRO) enforcement matters will be highly valued.
