Paralegal – Public Interest Justice Initiative

The candidate will provide support and assistance to Project Attorney involving multiple tasks, including retrieval, review and investigatory work for cases from the criminal justice system. Assist in Project administrative and reporting responsibilities. Reports to Public Interest Justice Initiative Attorney. Assist Public Interest Justice Initiative Attorney in accessing and gathering information from closed case files and in coordinating and managing communications with external entities, inclusive of the Remington Center, the District Attorney’s Office, inmates and victim/victim families as needed. Work closely with Public Interest Justice Initiative Attorney and communicate results of work while maintaining client confidentiality and a professional demeanor. Other paralegal duties as assigned. Must be fluent in creative problem-solving skills to resolve issues. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university preferred. Legal experience helpful. Bilingual language skills helpful.
