Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney with a focus on employee benefits and traditional labor to join their team in Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice to union clients and handle various stages of litigation, including wage and hour class actions and employee benefits litigation.

Duties

• Provide general and legal advice to union clients.
• Handle all stages of litigation, including class actions and discrimination cases.
• Represent unions at grievance arbitration hearings and before administrative agencies.
• Conduct training sessions for union staff and stewards.
• Attend Trust Fund client meetings and handle ERISA-related litigation.
• Defend clients in administrative hearings and court.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in California.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented with exemplary research and analytical skills.
• Spanish language skills and/or real estate experience is a plus.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar License.
