Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate M&A practice in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience representing public and private companies, as well as private equity funds, in various commercial transactions.

Duties

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
• Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related transaction documentation.
• Advise clients on corporate governance and day-to-day corporate issues.
• Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with deal teams.
• Handle multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Experience in a large national or international law firm preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (or eligibility for admission).

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and transaction documentation.
• High degree of maturity and business sense.
