A law firm in Sarasota, Florida, seeks a highly skilled and motivated real estate attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation and immediate transferable skills in real estate law. Candidates must be admitted to or in the process of being admitted to the Florida Bar.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on real estate matters, including transactions, zoning, and land use issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to property sales, leases, and development projects.
  • Manage residential and commercial real estate closings, ensuring compliance with local and state laws.
  • Conduct title and property due diligence, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Represent clients in disputes regarding real estate transactions or property rights.
  • Assist with the preparation of real estate-related legal documents, including deeds, purchase agreements, and leases.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Stay informed on changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of real estate law and related practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, with attention to detail.
  • Must be admitted to The Florida Bar or in the process of admission.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A professional approach to client relationships and legal counsel.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to The Florida Bar (or pending).

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate transactions, contracts, and zoning issues.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Knowledge of local real estate laws and regulations.
