Job Overview:
A law firm located in Boca Raton, FL is actively seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of hands-on experience in employment-related legal matters. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employment regulations at both federal and state levels, and will be capable of advising clients on complex human resources and workplace issues. This position involves a blend of litigation, compliance, and proactive counseling across various workplace regulations.

Duties:

• Handle disputes and compliance matters involving federal and state labor laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA

• Represent clients in federal and state courts, and before agencies such as the EEOC and the Department of Labor

• Conduct investigations and assessments related to workplace policies and practices

• Deliver practical legal advice on day-to-day employment issues, including hiring, termination, wage and hour compliance, and accommodations

• Prepare and review employee handbooks, employment agreements, and HR policies

• Provide in-depth legal training and presentations to HR teams and management

• Stay informed on evolving labor laws and trends impacting employers

• Work collaboratively with partners and clients to develop strategic litigation and risk mitigation plans

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of relevant legal experience in labor and employment law

• Proven success in litigation and client advisory roles related to employment matters

• Ability to manage agency proceedings and courtroom litigation independently or with minimal supervision

• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing capabilities

• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external clients

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar (Required)

Skills:

• Advanced legal writing and drafting skills

• Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities

• Deep knowledge of employment regulations and workplace compliance practices
