Duties

  • Attend court hearings with and on behalf of clients.
  • Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, and related documents.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations with clients and prospects.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for efficient workflow.
  • Stay informed on relevant laws and best practices in probate and trust administration.
  • Communicate with appraisers and oversee project completion.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Experience with legal drafting and attention to detail.
  • Excellent work ethic and drive to complete tasks.
  • Empathetic, compassionate, and ethical demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines within a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm required.
  • Advanced skills with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis).
  • Strong decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Active membership in local bar association preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
