Mid-level Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York City, NY, seeks a Mid-level Associate Attorney to join their commercial litigation team.

Duties:

• Handle various commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and regulatory compliance issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist with all aspects of the litigation process, including case strategy development, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as necessary.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Review and analyze evidence, deposition transcripts, and other case-related materials.
• Work collaboratively with partners, senior associates, and support staff on case management and strategy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar.
• Experience in commercial litigation at a reputable law firm.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, and trial advocacy.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to take on responsibility and contribute to the firm's success.

Education:
