Duties

• Assist with all stages of commercial litigation, from initial pleadings through trial and appeal
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare substantive memoranda on complex commercial issues
• Organize and prepare exhibits, witness materials, and deposition summaries
• Support alternative dispute resolution efforts, including mediation and arbitration
• Monitor and manage court deadlines and filing requirements
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications

Requirements

• 1 year of commercial litigation experience at a law firm
• Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with motion practice and trial preparation

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Texas State Bar license
• Additional state bar admissions (preferred but not required)
