A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Tax Associate to join its dynamic practice in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in federal tax matters, including transactional and tax controversy work, and will be part of a collaborative team in the Pacific Northwest.

Duties

• Handle federal tax matters, including transactional and tax controversy cases.
• Collaborate on renewable energy financing transactions.
• Engage in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and fund formations.
• Manage multiple projects with partners and senior associates.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in federal tax matters.
• Familiarity with renewable energy financing transactions preferred.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to client service and team success.

Education

• JD from an accredited university.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
