Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in San Francisco, CA, seeks a seasoned litigation attorney with 5-8 years of substantive experience in civil litigation to support a diverse caseload in the aviation, aerospace, automotive, and product liability sectors. This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who can navigate all stages of litigation, from discovery through trial preparation. The successful candidate will bring strong writing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating within a dynamic legal team.

Duties:

• Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and attend mediations, hearings, and related court appearances

• Draft comprehensive legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery responses

• Perform detailed legal research and prepare corresponding memoranda and case evaluations

• Generate client updates, litigation status reports, and strategic recommendations

• Manage discovery, including document review and coordination of expert witnesses

• Support trial preparation and participate in courtroom proceedings as necessary

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align litigation strategy with client objectives

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-8 years of litigation experience with increasing responsibility

• Proven familiarity with the lifecycle of civil litigation, including both state and federal court procedures

• Prior experience working with clients in highly regulated sectors such as aviation, automotive, or manufacturing is preferred

• Ability to independently manage multiple matters under tight deadlines

• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality legal work and client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic track record required

Certifications:

• Must be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar (or eligible for immediate admission)

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical abilities

• Strong verbal communication and client-relations aptitude

• Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities across complex litigation matters
