Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly motivated senior associate attorney to join its Environment, Energy & Resources practice group in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will lead significant matters at the intersection of digital infrastructure and energy transition, working with nationally recognized partners.

Duties

• Lead drafting and negotiation of power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design within RTOs/ISOs.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration.
• Participate in client relationship management and thought leadership.
• Mentor associates within the practice group.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in energy law.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings independently.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act and wholesale power markets.
• Collaborative self-starter.
• Must be admitted to practice or eligible to waive in to the jurisdiction of office location.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
