Associate Attorney needed for Oakton office

A law firm located in Oakton, VA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience handling all phases of State and Federal general civil litigation, focusing on Property, Casualty, Coverage, and Worker Compensation defense matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess superior research and writing skills, and have an excellent academic record. A Virginia license is required, and additional Bar licenses and judicial clerkship or prosecutorial experience are considered advantageous.

Duties:

• Handle all phases of State and Federal general civil litigation.
• Concentrate on Property, Casualty, Coverage, and Worker Compensation defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and writing.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Virginia Bar license.
• Experience handling general civil litigation, preferably with a focus on Property, Casualty, Coverage, and Worker Compensation defense matters.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Excellent academic record.
• Additional Bar licenses (preferred).
• Judicial clerkship or prosecutorial experience (preferred).
