Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking to hire a highly qualified midlevel associate with law firm experience to join its finance practice group in New York. The ideal candidate will have between four to five years of experience in a finance-based practice, including leveraged finance, cash flow transactions, and representing private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, or other private or public corporations in borrower-side finance transactions. The candidate must demonstrate strong academic credentials, organizational skills, and excellent writing and analytical abilities. New York bar membership is required.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent clients in leveraged finance and cash flow transactions.
• Advise private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in borrower-side finance transactions.
• Manage and negotiate complex finance-related legal matters.
• Provide legal advice and support on finance structures and transactions for private and public corporations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide tailored legal guidance.

Requirements:

• Between 4-5 years of law firm experience in finance, specifically in leveraged finance or cash flow transactions.
• Experience representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in borrower-side finance transactions.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• New York bar membership required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York State Bar Admission.

Skills:

• Expertise in leveraged finance and cash flow transactions.
• Experience in borrower-side finance transactions for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and legal research abilities.
• Proficient in legal writing and drafting.
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
