In-house Counsel

The candidate’s job duties includes: Conducting legal research on multiple areas of law, including U.S. labor laws, U.S. corporate laws, and international trade and business laws (especially pertaining to the laws and governmental regulations of China); Assisting the Company’s HR department in devising and implementing internal governance policies to ensure compliance with Texas labor laws and the policies of Texas Workforce Commission; Assisting the Company's outside legal counsel in reviewing and drafting English-language legal documents such as sales agreements and contracts; Reviewing and drafting Chinese-language legal documents to be used in the Company’s business transactions with Chinese corporate clients, vendors, and suppliers; Communicating with the legal departments of Chinese corporate clients, vendors, and suppliers; Communicating and coordinating with outside legal counsel in matters concerning the Company’s commercial litigation cases; Ensuring the Company’s legal compliance with Texas manufacturing and distribution licensing requirements and labor laws; Preparing and filing legal documents to the Secretary of State of Texas to maintain the Company’s active licensing status. JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school is required. Valid Texas law license is required. Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Mandarin Chinese is required.
