A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its Employment Law team in California. Duties:

  • Represent clients in various employment law matters, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour claims, and workplace harassment.
  • Manage cases from initiation through resolution, including conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Handle written discovery, depositions, motions, and court hearings.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on employment-related issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and overall team goals.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Appear in court for hearings and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the State Bar of California.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employment law.
  • Proven experience with case management, discovery, motion work, and depositions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently as needed.

Education:

  • J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven trial experience or willingness to gain trial experience.
