Duties

• Handle all stages of workers' compensation claims, from initial intake through appeals
• Prepare and file petitions, motions, and briefs with Workers' Compensation Judges and Boards
• Represent employers, carriers, and self-insured entities at depositions, hearings, and mediations
• Analyze medical records, vocational reports, and expert opinions to develop case strategies
• Negotiate settlements and structure lump-sum agreements in accordance with statutory guidelines
• Monitor and interpret changes in workers' compensation statutes and regulations
• Advise risk-management and human-resources teams on claim prevention and compliance best practices
• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals in litigation techniques and procedural requirements

Requirements

• Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar
• 20 years' experience in workers' compensation law
• Demonstrated success before Workers' Compensation Judges and Commonwealth Court
• Strong analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage high-volume caseloads and meet strict filing deadlines

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Pennsylvania Bar admission
• Membership in the Pennsylvania Association for Justice or similar preferred
