Washington, D.C. office of our client seeks a counsel with 2 years of relevant experience. The candidate will be responsible for the management & coverage of assigned issues affecting the life insurance industry. Will be responsible for managing policy development and implementation relating to assigned issues and staffing-related committees and task forces. Provide technical/substantive assistance and support to internal firms staff and member companies. Should preferably have experience with life insurance company-related investment, securities, and derivatives issues. Familiarity with a wide range of life insurance and financial services company products is helpful. Knowledge of securities and derivatives is strongly preferred. Knowledge of state and federal legislative and regulatory and legislative processes is required.
