Position Description:
The University of Louisville invites applications for a tenure track faculty position (open rank) in the School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Faculty rank is contingent upon qualifications and experience. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in pharmacology, toxicology, or related discipline, or M.D., and must provide evidence of potential to transfer or develop a vigorous and independently funded research program suitable for student research training.
Primary responsibilities will be in research and teaching with administrative duties to include Director of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Graduate Program and/or Vice Chair. Exceptionally qualified faculty will be considered for appointment with immediate tenure. Faculty members with research interests complementary to established interdisciplinary research centers are preferred and cross-appointment in one or more of the interdisciplinary research centers is anticipated.
