A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Wealth, Trust & Estate Planning group in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in trusts and estates, including drafting wills and trusts. Knowledge of federal estate and gift taxes is required, with a preference for experience in estate administration and sophisticated tax planning.

Duties

• Draft wills, trusts, and related documents.
• Advise clients on federal estate and gift taxes.
• Engage in estate administration and planning for closely-held businesses.
• Participate in charitable and sophisticated tax planning.

Requirements

• Two to five years of experience in trusts and estates.
• Knowledge of federal estate and gift taxes.
• Strong research, writing, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent).

Certifications

• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred.
