Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with experience in gaming regulatory matters, preferably in the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in drafting and arguing discovery motions, taking and defending depositions, possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, and be adept in case management. Admittance to practice in a state is required.

Duties:

• Drafting and arguing discovery motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Conducting legal research
• Crafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Assisting with case management and strategy development
• Representing clients in court proceedings
• Collaborating with partners and other legal staff

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admittance to practice in a state
• 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry, preferably in casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, or fantasy sports
• Experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting
• Strong academic credentials

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admittance to practice in a state

Skills:

• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents
• Strong research and analytical skills
