The role involves drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, providing patentability assessments, and assisting with freedom to operate and due diligence assessments.

Duties

• Draft and globally prosecute patent applications.
• Coordinate with foreign law firms for filing foreign patent applications.
• Maintain client patent portfolio and manage deadlines.
• Collaborate with partners and legal staff on patent matters.
• Meet a billable hour requirement of 1650 per year.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience managing patent prosecution docket.
• Ability to collaborate with legal teams and clients.
• Law firm or in-house IP experience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar field.

Certifications

• U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
