Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Litigation Special Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience with a strong background in handling complex legal issues within the healthcare sector. This position offers the opportunity to manage cases, mentor junior attorneys, and contribute to the firm's litigation strategy.

Duties:

• Handle complex healthcare litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage and coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout the litigation process.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on healthcare regulatory matters and risk management.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting healthcare litigation.
• Assist with business development efforts and client relationship management.

Requirements:

• 7-15 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on healthcare litigation.
• Prior experience working in a large law firm environment handling complex cases.
• Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. from a top-tier law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
