Social & Environmental Responsibility Counsel

The candidate will advise and works closely with Firms' human rights and global SER team within ECO. Will advise on environmental and supplies chain compliance issues involving Firms' products and services, often working from established FIRMS guidance or policies. Focus areas include EU REACH, RoHS and Eco-Design directives, plus local implementation and enforcement initiatives, including state-level initiatives in the US. Supports responses to sustainability inquiries from Firms' customers. Provides strategic advice on existing and emerging environmental, human rights, and ESG-related regulatory initiatives across the globe, including the requirements of those initiatives and analysis of existing programs within firms. Provides legal advice and support to Firms' public-facing sustainability and environmental statements, including Firms' annual conflict minerals disclosure statement, modern slavery disclosure, and Living Progress Report. Supports due diligence on environmental and human rights issues in M&A transactions. Effectively engages outside counsel to provide additional support where needed in these areas.
