Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Capital Markets Resource Attorney in Boston, MA. This role focuses on enhancing marketing and business development efforts, strengthening the creation and sharing of substantive know-how, and enabling practicing attorneys to be more informed, efficient, and successful. The attorney will not work directly for firm clients and will not bill time.

Duties

  • Keep current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Capital Markets practice group.
  • Develop topics for and assist in the preparation of client alerts, white papers, and external-facing tools.
  • Maintain internal practice resources to enhance know-how exchange within the practice group.
  • Create and update archives of work product and know-how.
  • Assist with coordination of speaking arrangements, webinars, and materials.
  • Maintain and update forms and templates to reflect current legal developments.
  • Work with Marketing to formulate and execute on Capital Markets branding and presence.
  • Coordinate with Professional Development to enhance skills development and firmwide training.
  • Coordinate with Information Services to assess and support adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in capital markets transactions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law.

  • Mastery of capital markets practice with enthusiasm to learn.
  • Team player with knowledge of technology and life sciences industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills.
  • Confident and engaging presenter.
