Job Overview:
A law firm based in Germantown, MD, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join a practice with a specialized focus on advocating for men's rights in family law. Duties:

• Represent male clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, visitation, support, and equitable distribution matters

• Handle the full lifecycle of legal cases, from intake to resolution

• Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documentation

• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive arguments for court presentation

• Appear in court for motions, hearings, and trials

• Maintain regular client communication and provide timely updates on case developments

• Utilize legal practice management software to track case activity and deadlines

• Collaborate with team members to ensure a strategic and coordinated approach to legal services

• Participate in team meetings, strategic planning, and internal training programs

Requirements:

• Admission to the Maryland State Bar in good standing

• Minimum of 5 years of experience handling family law matters

• Demonstrated success in courtroom advocacy and trial work

• Capable of managing a high-volume caseload with minimal oversight

• Experience using legal case management platforms (Clio preferred)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Maryland (Required)

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients

• Sound legal judgment with the ability to manage emotionally complex cases

• Excellent drafting, organizational, and time management abilities

• Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution

• Spanish language proficiency (spoken and written) is a strong advantage
