Patent Attorney needed for Philadelphia office

A law firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Patent Attorney with 2+ years of experience to support the firm's patent prosecution practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electronics, semi-conductors, circuitry, optics, and lasers. They will be responsible for drafting patent applications, prosecuting applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and conducting technical research.

Duties:

• Draft patent applications and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Draft scientific and technical patent applications clearly and concisely.
• Conduct technical research using available resources to support patent-related matters.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to meet internal and client-driven deadlines.
• Provide technical expertise to assist clients in protecting their technology with patents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience drafting patent applications in electronics, semi-conductors, circuitry, optics, and lasers.
• Registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Attention to detail, strong writing skills, and analytical skills.
• If appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state.

Education:

Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in a relevant field.

Certifications:

• Registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• If appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state.

Skills:
