Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, seeks a highly skilled Partner-Level Attorney to join their Data Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in breach response and data privacy counseling, strong academic credentials, and exceptional communication skills.

Duties:

• Lead and manage complex legal matters related to data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on data breach response strategies and risk mitigation.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and policies related to data protection and cybersecurity.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory developments in data privacy laws.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Experience practicing law, with a focus on data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of handling high-profile, sensitive legal matters related to data breaches.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification.
• Other relevant certifications in cybersecurity or privacy law.
