Job Overview: A prestigious law firm, located in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its renowned global practice. This position is ideal for a Partner-level attorney with over 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). The attorney will primarily focus on managing both contentious and non-contentious insurance coverage matters, with a particular emphasis on third-party liability insurance. This role offers flexibility in work location, whether based in the office or remotely from an Eastern or Central time zone jurisdiction.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee insurance coverage matters related to third-party liability.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and representation.
• Provide expert legal counsel on contentious and non-contentious issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
• Engage in case management, research, and advocacy on behalf of clients.
• Support the firm’s business development efforts and identify opportunities to expand the practice.
• Potential travel for case management and client meetings, as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years PQE in insurance coverage or related fields.
• Strong experience in managing litigation and handling complex cases.
• Expertise in third-party liability insurance coverage matters.
• Proven track record in client relationship management.
• Strong communication, presentation, and advocacy skills.
• High-level research and writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in New York.
