Duties:

  • Manage and oversee litigation matters involving financial institutions, including banks, credit card issuers, loan servicers, and automobile lenders.
  • Handle cases at both trial and appellate levels.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to relevant laws and regulations, such as the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, Fair Credit Report Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Truth In Lending Act, and state unfair practices laws.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Attend court hearings, conferences, and depositions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case strategy and execution.
  • Maintain communication and relationships with clients, providing regular updates and counsel.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of litigation experience with a focus on financial institutions.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable taking on significant responsibilities and working in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
