A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Entry-level to Mid-level Tax Associate Attorney to join its dynamic tax department. The role involves primarily transactional work, collaborating closely with securities and finance lawyers, investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials nationwide. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex transactions that benefit the communities served, with the potential to become a national specialist in selected fields.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on tax matters and provide analysis to support client transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents related to tax planning, public finance, and other transactional matters.
• Collaborate with securities and finance lawyers to ensure seamless integration of tax considerations into overall legal strategies.
• Communicate directly with clients, investment bankers, and government officials to address tax-related issues and provide guidance.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice in the State Bar.
• 0-5 years of experience in tax law or related transactional practice.
• Experience in public finance or other transactional tax areas is beneficial.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• LL.M. in Taxation from a recognized institution.
