Job Overview:

A prominent law firm located in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a skilled Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its expanding team. This role offers an opportunity to work remotely while supporting the firm’s Florida offices. The position focuses on comprehensive insurance coverage matters, requiring strong writing, research, and litigation capabilities. Duties:

• Conduct thorough file reviews and legal analysis of insurance claims and causes of action

• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate documents

• Handle discovery requests, including drafting, responding, and managing document production

• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions

• Collaborate with and retain expert witnesses

• Engage in trial preparation and attend trials as necessary

• Maintain an annual billable hour expectation of 1950 hours

• Travel occasionally as needed for case matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience focused on insurance coverage matters preferred

• Active license to practice law in the state of Florida; additional state admissions are a plus

• Ability to analyze complex issues with strong problem-solving skills

• Proficient in legal research techniques and writing

• Skilled communicator with strong oral advocacy and client service abilities

• Capable of self-management while contributing effectively to team-based initiatives

• Commitment to promptly responding to client and internal communications

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar (mandatory)
