Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join its Nashville, TN office. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in entertainment, music, and/or media law, focusing on transactional matters.

Duties

• Negotiate, draft, and review entertainment industry contracts.
• Handle recording agreements and album clearance work.
• Manage touring and live performance agreements.
• Oversee music publishing and administration agreements.
• Conduct music and film catalog acquisitions and sales.
• Prepare appearance releases, sponsorship, and endorsement deals.
• Address copyright and trademark matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Tennessee Bar.
• 3-7 years of experience in entertainment and media law.
• Experience with entertainment industry contracts.
• Basic corporate experience, including formations and due diligence.
• Knowledge of royalties, copyright, and trademark issues.
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle transactions independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Tennessee Bar.
