Staff Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for supporting attorneys, direct communication with clients, intake, and community education. May have the opportunity to work on cases relating to an array of legal issues, including public benefits, housing, family law, and consumer issues. Training and mentorship will be provided as needed. Bachelor or Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, with 0-3 years of experience preferred. Legal services background and previous experience working with low-income and/or underserved communities is preferred. Applicants are expected to have strong personal work ethic, interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a dynamic team, ability to organize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, effective communication, and cultural competency to work with clients challenged by poverty across the spectrum of diversity.
