Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law and/or Criminal Law in Bend, Oregon. The ideal candidate will possess strong advocacy skills and a passion for client service. Prior experience in family law or criminal defense is preferred but not required. This is an onsite position.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters from consultation through resolution.
  • Represent clients in hearings, including motions, mediations, and trials.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Provide strategic and sound legal advice and counsel to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Provide case support to partners, including legal research and court appearances.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar.
  • Two years' experience in family law or criminal defense preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and advocacy skills.
  • Experience in court strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
