Manager, Domestic Tax
The candidate will support domestic tax functions of the tax department including accounting for income taxes of U.S. locations, U.S. income tax compliance, tax planning, and maintaining compliance with all U.S. tax laws. Prepare and or review the consolidated domestic income tax provision, supporting calculations and documentation under the provisions of ASC 740. Manage the preparation of complex domestic tax calculations including but not limited to R&D tax credits, stock compensation, deferred compensation, officer compensation, pension and 263A. Manage preparation of the U.S. Federal and state and local tax returns including timelines, reviews, workpapers, payments and planning with internal and external resources to ensure timely and accurate completion of returns. Review the calculation of quarterly federal and state income tax estimated payments and extensions. Manage U.S. Federal and state and local tax audits and notices. Support tax transformation initiatives to automate tax processes, enhance data analytics, implement tax technology tools and re-imagine how the tax function operates. Train and develop staff and cultivate a continuous improvement culture. Evaluate and lead strategic tax initiatives and planning projects to achieve tax savings. Assist in the determination of areas of tax exposure and manage associated risk. Research and analyze various U.S. Federal and state and local income tax matters including tax law changes and assess the potential impact to the Company. Assist with merges and acquisitions projects as needed, including due diligence analyses, purchase accounting and integration matters. Follow SOX controls and maintain control evidence. Keep up to date with tax legislation, SEC regulations, and US GAAP changes. Manage and collaborate with external advisors. Assist as needed with indirect tax filings, notices and audits. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution is required. CPA and/or Masters of Taxation, or J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation is preferred. Should have 7+ years of experience in a large global corporation and/or public accounting firm; Big 4 experience is preferred. Experience in major corporate tax preparation software, knowledge of Corptax and OneSource is a plus. M&A experience and strong knowledge of Subchapter C is preferred.
