Job Overview: A law firm in Whitefish, MT, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employment Law Attorney III. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mediation, significant trial experience, and a solid ability to research and analyze complex legal issues. This role involves significant client interaction, marketing efforts, and active engagement in the firm's growth and community presence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Successfully mediate employment law disputes.
• Represent clients in significant and complex trials.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex issues.
• Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
• Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.
• Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies in preparation for litigation.
• Conduct due diligence in all legal matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, including empathetic listening.
• Manage schedules to allow for consultations and achieve production/collection objectives.
• Close consultations with a 30-50% success rate, depending on the practice area.
• Approve invoices in a timely to maintain monthly business health.
• Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.
• Accurately update client case management systems with fees, engagements, trust accounts, client information, invoices, etc.
• Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff to meet community service objectives.
• Actively expand personal and firm brand through blogs, social media posts, board participation, and other organizational activities.
• Seek positive client feedback and star reviews.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Competence in empathetic listening.
• 5+ years of experience as an employment attorney.
• Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Montana Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Montana Bar.
