Senior Legislative Counsel/Strategist

Responsibilities: Play a leading role—in collaboration with the Washington Office Director, the Center’s program leadership, and other key staff—in identifying top federal legislative priorities and implementing effective strategies to move them forward. Develop and cultivate strong relationships for the Center with congressional leaders, members, and staff, and with non-governmental coalition partners from across the political/ideological spectrum; ensure coordination among Center staff in congressional outreach. Analyze, shape, and provide guidance on draft legislation. Conceive and host events and convenings to build support for the Center’s legislative goals. Strengthen the Center’s work with coalitions and partners in furthering our legislative priorities, and cultivate new allies.
