Conflicts Counsel

The candidate will be analyzing, identifying and clearing conflicts of interest associated with existing and potential new matters or business. The Conflicts Counsel will confer with attorneys to determine the nature of any potential conflicts and whether such conflicts can be waived, and will draft conflict waivers as necessary. This role will advise the Conflicts Partner, as needed, during the conflict resolution process for appropriate approvals and decisions, thoroughly document the conflict resolution for attorneys and business intake, maintain accurate information in the conflicts database, and assist with the clearing of possible conflicts associated with potential lateral hires. You will show a willingness to assist in special projects by the Conflicts Manager and work as a team player with other conflicts counsel. Must have 3 years of conflict clearing/new business intake experience or 5 years’ experience of working on document review projects. A team player with excellent problem solving and analytical skills. You have a strong background in legal ethics/professional responsibility. Consider yourself a top-notch communicator and have a keen eye for detail. Prior experience clearing attorney conflicts in a large law firm. JD and admission to one state bar.
