Job Title: Trusts & Estates Attorney (4-6 Years of Experience)

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm based in Albany, NY, is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its expanding team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex legal matters, including estate planning, administration, and elder law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trusts and estates law, including experience with drafting legal documents and managing estate and trust administrations.

Duties:

• Advise corporate and individual clients on succession planning, estate and trust administration, tax planning, and elder law matters.

• Draft wills, trust agreements, powers of attorney, and statutory gift riders.

• Manage estate and trust administration, including preparation of estate and trust accounting.

• Provide guidance on estate and gift taxation, fiduciary income taxation, and Surrogate Court proceedings.

• Work closely with clients, ensuring all matters are handled with professionalism and care.

• Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm to support cross-functional initiatives and clients.

• Foster relationships with clients and handle significant client contact and responsibility.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in trusts and estates law, estate and trust administration, and elder law.

• Demonstrated experience in drafting wills, trust agreements, and powers of attorney.

• Knowledge of estate and gift taxation, fiduciary income taxation, and Surrogate Court procedures.

• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A commitment to high ethical standards and professional conduct.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
