Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is currently seeking two full-time Civil Litigation Associate Attorneys to join its litigation team based in Rockville, Maryland. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with 3–5 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in the areas of creditors’ rights and real estate matters. Candidates must be licensed in either Maryland or Virginia. Judicial clerkship experience and admission to D.C. or U.S. Bankruptcy Courts are advantageous but not required. This is a fast-paced, high-volume practice offering a collaborative environment and opportunities for professional growth.
Location:

Duties:
Handle all phases of civil litigation, including case strategy, discovery, and motion practice
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and legal correspondence
Conduct legal research to support case development and trial preparation
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and depositions
Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and with attention to detail
Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to advance cases
Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular updates
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in civil litigation within a law firm or similar legal environment
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a large caseload
Strong courtroom presence and confidence in advocacy
Excellent research, analytical, and legal writing skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Client-focused with strong interpersonal communication abilities
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in Maryland or Virginia (required)
Admission to the District of Columbia Bar and/or U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for MD, DC, or VA (preferred but not required)
Skills:
Litigation strategy and case management
Drafting legal pleadings and motions
Discovery coordination and document review
Client counseling and professional communication
Knowledge of creditors’ rights and real estate litigation (preferred)
Familiarity with local civil procedure rules and court systems
