Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with a strong background in Trademark and Copyright Law. The role involves high-level legal work for name-brand clients, including domestic and international trademark prosecution, TTAB litigation, global anti-counterfeiting enforcement, and strategic IP counseling. This is a full-time, in-office position with multiple U.S. location options. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a passion for helping companies protect and enforce their intellectual property rights worldwide.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Manage domestic and international trademark prosecution matters

• Represent clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the TTAB

• Develop and implement global anti-counterfeiting and enforcement strategies

• Provide legal counsel on copyright registration and infringement matters

• Draft licensing agreements, opinion letters, and related IP documents

• Conduct risk assessments and provide clearance analysis for new brands

• Support transactional and litigation teams with IP due diligence and analysis

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in trademark and copyright law

• Proven track record handling TTAB matters and managing global IP portfolios

• Familiarity with anti-counterfeiting laws and enforcement procedures

• Ability to provide strategic brand management advice across jurisdictions

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Must be eligible for admission in the office location of choice

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and oral communication skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy in legal work

• Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
