Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Tax/Corporate Associate with 5-8 years of experience to join its Tax and Corporate practice group. The position offers flexibility to work from any of the firm's offices in Cherry Hill, Philadelphia, or Conshohocken, with occasional travel between locations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in tax research, planning, and drafting within a law firm environment, and a strong background in corporate tax matters.

Location:

• Cherry Hill, NJ

Duties:

• Provide tax research, planning, and drafting services for corporate tax matters, including formation, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, and financing of business entities.

• Analyze and address complex tax issues for both individual and corporate clients.

• Advise on the tax treatment and planning for incentive compensation for key employees.

• Handle tax controversies and represent clients in resolving tax-related matters.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to offer strategic legal advice on tax-related issues.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of direct experience in tax law, particularly in corporate tax matters.

• Strong background in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and formation of business entities.

• Experience in tax research, planning, and drafting for both individual and corporate tax issues.

• Knowledge of tax treatment and planning for incentive compensation for employees.

• Tax controversy experience preferred.

• Excellent academic credentials.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

• LLM (or pending) in Taxation preferred.

• Admission to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• LLM (or pending) in Taxation preferred.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Skills:

• Proficiency in tax law, corporate law, and related legal matters.

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage complex legal tasks independently.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
