A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel – Employment to provide expert legal guidance on global employment law matters. This role will involve providing counsel on multi-jurisdictional issues related to employment law, developing workplace policies, handling workplace grievances, managing litigation, and collaborating with legal and business teams across the firm.

Act as a primary legal resource for business leaders and HR professionals on employment-related issues across multiple jurisdictions.
Provide legal support for the development of workplace policies and processes related to compensation, benefits, conduct, discipline, and performance.
Draft various employee and partner agreements, including offer letters, employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, and partnership agreements.
Provide counsel on workplace-related grievances, pre-litigation claims, and litigation, including investigations, risk assessments, issue resolution, and proactive issue prevention.
Select and manage outside counsel, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Collaborate with professionals from across the firm to leverage specialist expertise.
Identify, design, and implement improvements in legal processes that align with the firm’s strategy and market best practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal issues through continuous legal education and professional association involvement.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in employment counseling and litigation, with experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
Extensive knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations and related claims/litigation; international experience is a plus.
Proven experience conducting and supervising internal investigations, including managing electronic discovery.
Expertise in drafting employment-related agreements and policies.
Experience managing litigation and overseeing external counsel.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems creatively.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, maintaining a calm and organized approach under pressure.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
Admission to the state bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Expertise in U.S. employment law and regulations.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proficiency in drafting complex employment-related documents and policies.
