Duties:

• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and related documents

• Represent clients during court hearings, depositions, and mediations

• Manage a personal caseload from inception through resolution in collaboration with a supportive team

• Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide comprehensive case status updates

• Strategically participate in discovery processes and develop case strategies

• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices to foster a unified team atmosphere

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited institution

• Active license to practice law in the state of California

• A minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience

• Demonstrated ability to draft discovery responses and pretrial motions

• Background handling cases involving catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or other general liability areas

• Experience in cross-examining fact witnesses and plaintiffs is preferred

• Trial experience, particularly 2nd chair experience, is considered an asset

• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities

• Strong verbal and written advocacy skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California

Skills:

• Outstanding legal research and writing skills

• Ability to manage multiple complex files independently

• Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and internal collaboration

• Confidence in handling depositions and court appearances

• Ability to work effectively in both in-office and remote environments
